One of my favourite birds, the dunnock. They are so neat and tidy and unassuming - they nest in our front garden every year and it is a delight when they bring their young to the bird table.
What a nice suprise the dunnock is! Glad you added the link to dunnock. Looks a lot like one of the house sparrows that are a bit of a nuisance in New England.

ReplyDeleteI imagine these dunnock foraging for seeds or bread crumbs that people drop beneath the bench. Nicely written. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the Dunnock getting some appreciation. Usually people just lump them in with the Sparrows even though they behave completely differently.
