Water of Leith haiku

high in the upper branches -
feathers flutter down.

***

  2. Are these baby bird feathers? They look like it anyway. So fuzzy and soft, blue. Love the blue. Your documentation is coming along nicely. Keep up the good work. Have a great day.

I finally got round to World Ocean Day! Shall look out for it next year. We have the BBC Wildlife poet, Chris Kinsey, giving a reading here tomorrow - about birds and greyhounds...

  9. Hello Juliet

    I liked your Haiku

    What are blackcaps?

I was in the eucalyptus forest today following bird a call and a little feather fluttered down beside me...

  10. Delwyn - blackcaps are a European warbler, there's a hyperlink in the haiku, if you follow that it will take you to a page where you can see them and hear them!
