thunderstorm -
the sweet smell between
my rabbit's ears
I couldn't resist the Arty Girlz Challenge this week - to illustrate a poem or quote. So here is a haiga, in memory of Anya. I'm making a lot of cards this size at the moment, to give out to people who express interest in my blog or poetry. The cards are all made from reused card. You can see another one (made from a reused train ticket) here. You can also see a haiga about my favourite bird, the swift, here.
This is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to have a look at further creations on your blog

ReplyDeleteI love both the rabbit and the haiku, Juliet. So simple looking, yet so profound. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise to find your blog thanks to a lovely comment you left on mine. Love the rabbit illustration that accompanies a wonderful piece of poetry.
ReplyDeleteLovely image and haiga.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you abstracted her shapes. Ah ,yes, between the ears is a lovely place for a nose.
ReplyDeleteThat is down right adorable Juliet!

You had a good bunny there!
ReplyDeleteOh, beautiful Anya!
ReplyDeleteI love smelling my rabbits' fur too hee hee they always smell so fresh and clean!
This is nice! Good poem and a perfect drawing for it. Haiku drawings should be simple like this. I've always been partial to Issa's illustrations for his haiku.
ReplyDeleteI've never smelled between a rabbit's ears or had a rabbit to call my own, but the jux here is excellent.
ReplyDeleteI love this poem very much. I also love your blog header. Leaves in autumn are just too lovely!
ReplyDeleteNow I am thinking of the sweet rabbit with the hurricane ears.
ReplyDeleteAdorable.
