Three rabbits (instead of dogs) for Totally Optional Prompts
I just saw the movie 'Miss Potter', on TV. I'm sure Beatrix had all these images in her mind (and eyes) when creating Peter Rabbit(etc).
ReplyDeleteNever had a rabbit as a pet. Infact, I've never had any pets. I don't THINK there's anything wrong with me :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are such lovely hopping poems, the form fits the subject perfectly. You bought them to life so wonderfully I wanted to Woof!
ReplyDeleteRABBITS. always appropriate and welcome.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your rabbit poems Juliet - you capture their essence in a special way.
ReplyDeleteMy sister had bunnies for pets and these poems captured them perfectly!
ReplyDeleteoh, this is sweet!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to read your rabbit poems! They are adorable animals - I've never owned one...
ReplyDeleterabbits.. awesome, never really knew abt rabbits till a friend started a home for abandoned rabbits.. she absolutely postively loves her rabbits.. i can only imagine such a welcome party of three rabbits lined up..
ReplyDeletewonderful! you paint a great, vivid picture of these three adorable rabbits. They breathe in this poem, and yet you write so sparingly - there is nothing useless or superfluous or anything that doesn't aid the depiction of these characters, for you do, after all, treat them like characters. marvellous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant way to say it. Loved them.
ReplyDeleteRunning wild through a golf course is an amusing idea.
ReplyDeleteI love your haikus. It is such a great form of peotry.
ReplyDeleteNever had a bunny rabbit for a pet but when we take our dog walking on the local golf course, he loves to chase the hares even though they are always too fast for him. They always spot him way before he sees them.
Anywho, I wrote three poems for this entry : Dogs of War, Two Pets and My Dog Tom
