I'm excited to have been offered a post as a science communicator at the Edinburgh International Science Festival. It's only two weeks work but it sounds like great fun! I'll blog more about this closer to the time.
I'm also hoping to deliver a series of poetry workshops in March and April for Waste Innovations, an eco-company in Edinburgh, I'll post more about that here when I've got more details.
I'm also delighted that Gautami awarded me the Excellent Blog Award, very honoured, thanks Gautami.
I did the meme too!

I really enjoy reading your blog, it always has great insight. But I am very frustrated with the fact that so few people are talking about presidential candidates and their thoughts on global warming. Now that it is down to just a few candidates I would think that this would be a bigger issue.
ReplyDeleteLive Earth just picked up this topic and put out an article ( http://www.liveearth.org/news.php ) live earth is also asking why the presidential candidates are not being solicited for their stance on the issue of the climate change. I just saw a poll on www.EarthLab.com that says people care a lot about what their next leader thinks of global warming. Does anyone know of another poll or other results about this subject?
Here is the page where I saw the EarthLab poll: http://www.earthlab.com/life.aspx. This is a pretty legit website; they are endorsed by Al Gore and the alliance for climate protection and they have a carbon footprint calculator. Does anyone have a strong opinion about this like I do?
Hoo boy you are keeping busy and getting some just reward!
ReplyDeleteAn excelent blog, indeed. Thanks for all you do.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the post as a science communicator...exciting stuff. It should be a wonderful experience - can't wait to hear more about it.

Anonymous, as a British person living in Scotland, although I'm interested in what's going on in the US presidential race and yes I'm obviously interested in how the next US president will take on environmental issues, I don't really feel that it is my place to actively blog about it. Also its useful if you say who you are when you comment
