Diary from Reused Materials

I'm making myself a diary for next year and given that the Inspire Me Thursday topic this week is Diary, I thought I would post a picture of the diary as it is now. The covers are made from re-used corporate folders. The lettering and numbering on the front is cut out from magazines. The paper inside is reused out of date office headed paper. The diary is held together by an old shoelace.

Such a great idea and true to your blog name! You'll definitely have to post more of your progress. I've debated making my own yearly calendar at different times, but never have so it's very inspirational to see you putting the idea to work!

  8. Apologies if this shows up twice...might have hit a wrong button the first time. Anyway, you are so inspiring! What a great idea. I'm starting to reuse my old journal by journaling over the top of it. I hope it doesn't get too messy : )

  11. I love the idea of the old shoelace -- what happened to the other one? Your diary is really cool looking -- and you also really inspire me. Every day now I look at things differently and try to think of new ways to use things. Thank you very much!

Judy - envelopes, I really need to do more interesting things with envelopes, I reuse them as envelopes of course but I have so many and there are so many things I could do with them - thanks for reminding me!

  20. I haven't been visiting blogs much this summer. Just preoccupied with living. But I'm getting inspired again and came here for a visit.
I'm feeling a bit more creative since some time off and taking a class on Altered Books/Artists Books so you may see some of this on my site if I ever get up the guts and/or finish something.
Hope your summer has been great!
