Well I think it depends on the context. In crowds they're dirty, annoying beasts but sometimes I like them. Sometimes they perch on the chimneys opposite our flat and they pose quite majestically and I love watching them 'puddle' - when they do their little dances on the grass to bring the worms to the surface.
Nice poem, but, don't you hate the horrible dirty things?
