Beautiful Rhododendrons and Friendly Wildlife at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens

Today started off drizzly and cool but the sun came out and the rhododendrons and azaleas at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens were at their most beautiful - here's just a selection

We made friends with a very hungry grey squirrel

and a very hungry female mallard who sought us out in the terrace of the cafe

Really enjoyed the birds (above post) and flowers and critters at these beautiful garden spot.
Your flowers and plants remind me of Oregon springs (which I miss).

My first sight of Scotland in June 1998, was from my plane coming in for a landing in Edinburgh, and a bank of rhododendrons on a hill. Lovely. They grow here, too. I always think of them when I see them.
