Cherry Blossom Haiku

waiting for swifts
the grey sky dances
with blossom petals

dusk
a young rabbit eats
fallen blossoms

I like the idea that the sky is waiting for the swifts.

Your haiku both are lovely, but the second is an occasion for a real smile. I didn't know until yesterday that our state flower, the bluebonnet, is known in Spanish as conejo. The word means "rabbit", and was used to describe the bluebonnet because the top of the blossoms look like a rabbit's tail!
