Desk Tidies

This is really easy but can look very effective. I buy fair trade tea and cocoa in cardboard tubes of various sizes. These can then be covered in wrapping paper or pages from magazines to become attractive desk tidies. However there's only a limited number of desk tidies that one household needs. Does anyone have other ideas of how to use these types of cardboard tubs?

I can't think of any way of recycling them, but I'd suggest you bought your tea in bigger boxes. I think TeaDirect, which is fair trade, has boxes much bigger than that.

If you have quite a lot of leftover paper, you can always learn to do papier maché, although I think that can be messy and time-consuming.

Thank you Nia!
Well, where I shop (local and specialist shops) loose green tea only comes in these containers. I buy loose black tea in boxes twice this size. I don't buy tea bags..... Maybe the out of town supermarkets stock large boxes of loose tea but i don't shop there!

Ah! Papier mache! I keep wondering whether I should post the papier mache box I made when I was a child...
