I was very happy to find this toadstool in Craiglockart Dell alongside the Water of Leith today. It's a Wood Blewit, quite easy to recognise with it's purple colour (though there are other purple fungi).
How exciting to discover a Wood Blewit in Craiglockart Dell! Its vibrant purple color must have been striking against the backdrop of the Water of Leith. I love how you’ve pointed out that there are other purple fungi, which adds an extra layer of intrigue to the find. It’s always a delight to stumble upon unique natural treasures during walks, especially ones that are as eye-catching as this toadstool. Thanks for sharing your discovery!
I just shared a blog, please let me know what you think: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2024/11/why-duex-float-portable-monitor-is-game-changer.html
Lovely. It’s been a great year for fungi in my area…so much variety! Lovely to see. 😁
ReplyDeleteThey make good eating I believe? I've been finding some interesting fungi lately too
