to glorious sunshine
and back again.
We enjoyed seeing the birds at and around Dunsapie Loch, including this Canada / greylag goose hybrid
this leucistic carrion crow
and this mute swan
We were delighted to see that the grey herons are already back on their nests on Duddingston Loch (click on the photo to get a bigger view of this, there are several herons on nests in the trees on the island)
and the whole Loch looked beautiful in the sunshine
Yes, our weather has been more changeable today too.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy seeing all of your photographs, what a lovely collection.
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
Howling winds all around us as well, and there was sunlight too. I love your birds.

Love the mood in that first photo.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have heard of the storms there, I hope you do not have any damage. I love seeing the heron on the nest. Beautiful views and photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
You are a few weeks ahead of us here - our herons will begin nesting in early April/late March. Our heron rookerys tend to be well hidden from nearby walkers. So we just see them begin to fly in and out, carrying sticks at first to repair nests and later small fish for the young!
