I recently realised my old camera case (made from scrap fabric) was falling apart so I made this one to replace it. Basically it's the top end of an old sock (I cut off the worn foot) with a button from my stash and a ready made buttonhole.
Great! Ingenuity is alive and well! I made a pair of crutch holders to mount on the back of a wheelchair yesterday out of elastic, wire and two left over lengths of plastic drainpipe. Very "Valerie Singleton". Only the sticky-back plastic was missing. They look fine and work well.
wrist warmers made from old socks can be useful in cold weather
ReplyDeleteCunning and innovative! I wouldn't want any of my socks used for anything though lol. Not my running ones anyway!
ReplyDeleteNice, the recycle, a new function.
