cold, with a touch of frost
deep shadows
Sunlight highlighting the spores on the underside of this hart's tongue fern
growing by the river, which is flowing high today
Chaffinches, dunnocks, robins and song thrushes singing' bullfinches chasing each other through the branches and wild garlic leaves growing!
A beautiful winter's day in the woods!
Hello, looks like a gorgeous day to be outside. A lovely sky and images. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteSuch a clear blue sky and the light is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad to see blue skies again! We've had a dark, extra dreary winter, here in Interior BC. Your blue sky photos made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous day here, cold, but a strong sun was warming. We have floods here now, my usual walking and running routes were blocked in places. Still glorious though. Long tailed tits and robins, wrens and chaffinch.
ReplyDeleteJuliet, I read the other day on THE WEATHER CHANNEL that there are 600 plants blooming early over there. I know you must be enjoying that. Your photos look like spring.
ReplyDeleteSun a little higher and a little longer every day now in the Northern Hemisphere.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI've learned a new plant today....Hart's Tongue Fern. I bet they're beautiful in the wild!
Wow .... Such bright and lovely pictures!

ReplyDeleteThat blue sky looks good.
ReplyDeleteLove all your photo's here.
All the best Jan
Lovely hints of spring, Juliet. It feels more like winter here - another sharp frost last night, but some blue in the sky.
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyable blue sky, great shots!
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful blue and the promise of spring..... Michelle
