Snails and a bunny

Even after last week's  snail identification course, I'm not sure I feel confident about identifying more than a couple of species of snails, but I thought today I would at least take photos of some of the snails I've seen in Colinton Dell and possibly identify them later.

So here they are, very abundant and very pretty hiding in the foliage

And here's a pretty young bunny feeding at the top of Spylaw Park in Colinton Village

I wouldn't even start with the snails - too hard! Your courses sound terrific - enjoy your teaching.

  3. I love watching snails. I've never thought of looking up their names :) I should do that in the future. And that bunny is so cute.
I hope you are doing well!
Have a wonderful rest of the week.

  4. Lovely photos of the bunny and the snails. Thank you for your thoughts on buddleia and butterflies. I always associate (our forays in) Scotland with good sightings of Burnet Moths (particularly around Loch Maree and on the Summer Isles) - which are lovely.

  5. Juliet, Caroline pointed me in this direction. It was good to see yet another Ministry of Works sign at Eagle Rock. Thank you for sharing the image.
