We had a lovely walk along part of the Water of Leith today, walking from Roseburn to the Gallery of Modern Art
We had coffee and cakes in the Gallery garden, surrounded by flowers
and lots of bees, we counted five species of bumble bee and one or possibly two species of solitary bee. Here's a red-tailed bumblebee in the chives
and here's an early bumblebee
all the other bees were too speedy to stop for photos!
We then walked along the river, through Dean Village, not quite sure what to make of the balancing stones, which are causing quite a social media stir at the moment
but we were delighted to stand and watch this grey heron as it calmly preened itself in front of a small crowd
for 30 Days Wild
Beautiful as always,xx Rachel and Speedy
