The moon was amazing last night (it had been too cloudy the night before to see the actual harvest moon). Crafty Green Boyfriend took these photos, this first one shows just how orange the moon was
and this second photo went wrong but is quite lovely in an impressionistic sort of way
Wonderful moon-viewing. We were in 'deepest Suffolk' on our way back from a photography day when we spotted the moon ... but it was not as orange in our neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline, I've never seen te moon this orange before except during eclipse! Amazing
ReplyDeleteI have never seen an orange-tinted moon. How neat! Great shots.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Juliet. I tried to capture it, but failed miserably.
ReplyDelete__We all know, and I expect 'tis inane that I say, the moon can inspire glee in the coming day.
ReplyDelete__Nature's art... that color. _m
Moon shots can be hard -- the first picture is perfect, but even CGB's bad shot is good in its own way. I really am happy to see the moon (in real) and in pictures. We are just back from Alaska and we had a wonderful time. But the sky is not the reason to go there ... I didn't see any sunsets and barely any moon.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE the moon. I call it, "Old Friend" whenever I see it. The orange color is my favorite of the colors it wears. Sigh. Moon love...
ReplyDeleteTerrific shot :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been too cold to go out at night!!!! At least, in Canada!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, craftygreenboyfriend took these photos from inside our flat, but we're having unseasonably warm weather, it feels like summer out there at the moment
