Late autumn, Hermitage of Braid

  7. I was unaware there were such things as deciduous conifers.

    My dad, the plant scientist, never told me.

    The yellow is quite lovely. We are just starting fall colors here in the deep South in the U.S. Only recently has it grown cold enough for fall.

    Still, most of our trees are pines and live oaks, which stay green throughout the year.
