Berries

It's a good autumn for berries of all types!
Whitebeam berries at Musselburgh (not edible as far as I know)

elderberries near Corstorphine Road (can be used to make jam or wine or tea)

    It's been a good blackberry year here, among others, but the sloes were quite sparse and the little mirabelle plum non-existent, probably because of the late cold spring. You win some you lose some! I made blackberry liqueur anyway.

    Love to see the variety of fall berries!

    We made a LOT of freezer jam with black currants once. It was AWFUL! Tossed it all after just a few bites! Should have tasted them first!
