wild garlic
pokes through the snow -
blackbird-song

  2. The sight of anything green poking through the snow is a sight for sore eyes! This winter drags on for far too long. Your blackbird is related to our American robin which is always a harbinger of spring. There are no robins returned yet with the bitter cold and deep snow.
