This is a lovely new bridge over the Braid Burn in the
Hermitage of Braid. It's great to have a proper bridge again after months of a shaky temporary structure (that I don't think I ever got round to photographing). It's great too that they've made it accessible for people in wheelchairs, except that, as you may be able to see in the left hand side of the photo, at the other side of the bridge there's a steep set of stairs (which leads to a long steep climb up the hill!). So, not sure what you're supposed to do if you get onto the bridge in your wheelchair!
This is a bridge over the Braid Burn in
Braidburn Valley Park, which
we visited yesterday.

The new bridge looks so neat and tidy.
ReplyDeleteThat new bridge looks similar to our new 'monkey bridge.' Very solid.
ReplyDeleteCrafty Green Poet,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog.
I am finding myself more and more of a conscientious environmentalist these days...never dreaming I would be (like all causes it is often associated with stigmas0. Enjoyed your photographs from your last couple posts...especially the orange poppies and old church.
Cheers,
Leah
I love the way you get around and spend so much of your time out of doors.
ReplyDeleteYou take us on wonderful walks :)
ReplyDeleteI love bridges. Not necessarily crossing them but just standing in the middle and looking down at the water.
enjoyed Sunday here and i'm tagging you at my Sunday post today
ReplyDeletemuch love...
love that greenery in the 2nd shot!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame the bridge wasn't finished with provisions for wheelchairs and baby strollers--and bicycles for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThe countryside is green and lush. It must make for great walks in all of that loveliness.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those lovely bridges seem to fit so well into their surroundings.
ReplyDeleteNice to see much of the river with natural banks too!
ReplyDeleteThere was quite a lot of work on a bridge there a few months ago when we visited - good to see the end result is rather neat.
ReplyDeleteI like the new bridge, looks like a very pretty spot.
