We had the most wonderful holiday in Dumfries and Galloway a few years ago Juliet - starting at Portpatrick and working our way back across the country. There are some superb gardens to visit and some fascinating coastal places.
What lovely vistas these conjure up. (Well-chosen close-ups often do that even more vividly than long shots.) You reawaken my desire to visit the area again.
I need to visit! Oh, to see these for real. Your lens captures the reflections most beautifully. The first one would make a great puzzle... and they make me long for another place. Quite inspirational.
I believe we'd feel right at home visiting your beautiful Lochs. And (in the above post) it looks as if you saw some beautiful scenery, even through the rainy days. (And rainy vacation days are also something we're familiar with being originally from coastal Oregon. )
What a heavenly spot you have captured here for us to enjoy....but then, all of Scotland is heavenly. Hope you are having a nice weekend. It is actually chilly here at night...such a nice change.genie
