sleepy bee haiku

a bee sleeps
on a sunflower -
fallen leaves

Meanwhile there's a new blog post for Organic Fortnight over on Tree Shadow Moon

And I am totally delighted by this review of my poetry chapbook Unthinkable Skies, thanks to James of Coyote Mercury.

  1. Glad he wasn't asleep on my sunflowers, Juliet - the gale blew them down yesterday.

  5. Wow to that review, Poet. James read it the same way I did, which I found interesting.

And like weaver, no flying things anywhere to be seen around these westerly parts. Wind stong.

  6. I love this; there's a strong taste of autumn in the poem, the busy insects ready for their rest.

  8. Wonderful! Nature at rest.
I saw one of your sleepy bees waiting for the sun on a blanket flower one cold morning this week. Thanks for reminding me!
