As long as it's during daylight hours, I will open the window. Here in California, the mockingbirds don't know day from night, and they do mock. wonderful Haiku
I'm enjoying watching the blackbirds at the moment. Males are chasing other males off their patch, and a pair are guarding and nurturing their nest, and hopefully offspring, in the hedge. To hear a blackbird sing always brings a smile to my face. x
