signs of Spring?

It seems strange to think today with the snow, the hail and the wild winds but there had been signs of Spring a few days ago. Even on Monday walking along the Water of Leith the early snow disappeared and the sun came out on dippers chasing each other along the river.

  1. Oh I do like the look of the blog these days; that green border really make those flowers pop. Do I think there are signs of spring? My allergies say yes; but the weather says no.

I had to laugh at the peck on the cheek. I wonder if that is where that saying came from?

  4. We got a cold front this week after spring-like weather, too. But no freeze. My sprouting gardens and pots are safe.

    Winter is almost over!

  7. Hello, Juliet.
__I now know... of the -dipper-. A bird common to the British Isles, perhaps not seen elsewhere. tnx.
__Isn't it 'pin-pointing' that so many of us are referring to birds in our scribblings? The season's potential? ...and I love the "peck on the cheek" ! _m

  8. I just thought what sandy says below (oh it will actually be above when this is printed). I love bullfinches, but we see them only rarely here.
