I actually have a porcelain, hand crafted, tiny, bowl-shaped piece that has fungi-like shapes inside it. It is a thing of beauty, and cost me just £2, in a 'junk' shop in Hastings. I have a feeling it would have started life at a far greater price, but to me, its beauty makes it priceless, anyway.
Oh, very, very nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat an 'intricate' photo. Beautiful - not a word I often associate with a picture of fungi, but justified in this case.
ReplyDeleteextremely sweet photo!!! i'm gonna have to nip into the woods north and south of here and see what's up and out this weekend. steven
ReplyDeleteThis is so simple and beautiful. I would never have thought this was fungi, probably because that word doesn't have beautiful connotations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting us today!
A very delicate image. There are so many fascinating fungi this time of year. Great capture.
ReplyDeleteGood picture. 'Porcelain Fungi' is so much better a name than 'Slimy Beech Cap'.
ReplyDeleteOoh, rather pretty!

I love how delicate fungi are, and yet so persistent!
ReplyDeleteFantastical funghi!
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought of tiny fairies using them to shade themselves from the sun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.
Gorgeous. I've not seen this one before. Hope you can get out into the woods again soon.
ReplyDeleteIt does look as if it has been placed there by some passing artisan. Perfect and intricate!
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have these, but have not learned my fungi like I should. It makes for a nice photo, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. ...and lovely new banner as well!

ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful picture. I found myself taking pictures of lichen and bark yesterday. Nowhere near as good as this picture though!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing to find in nature!
