  1. What an 'intricate' photo. Beautiful - not a word I often associate with a picture of fungi, but justified in this case.

  3. This is so simple and beautiful. I would never have thought this was fungi, probably because that word doesn't have beautiful connotations.

    Thanks for visiting us today!

  4. A very delicate image. There are so many fascinating fungi this time of year. Great capture.

  5. Good picture. 'Porcelain Fungi' is so much better a name than 'Slimy Beech Cap'.

  9. I immediately thought of tiny fairies using them to shade themselves from the sun.

It does look as if it has been placed there by some passing artisan. Perfect and intricate!

I don't think we have these, but have not learned my fungi like I should. It makes for a nice photo, doesn't it?

  14. I actually have a porcelain, hand crafted, tiny, bowl-shaped piece that has fungi-like shapes inside it. It is a thing of beauty, and cost me just £2, in a 'junk' shop in Hastings. I have a feeling it would have started life at a far greater price, but to me, its beauty makes it priceless, anyway.

  15. It is a beautiful picture. I found myself taking pictures of lichen and bark yesterday. Nowhere near as good as this picture though!
