hello crafty green, that wall, those shadows - echoes from my childhood in a very little very mouse-filled and cockroach infested home. (it adjoined a bakery and a restaurant on the main street of atrincham in cheshire) despite all the ugliness of the home, we had a garden in which grew gooseberries, apples, grapes, strawberries and there was a wall covered with tree shadows and vine shadows and i loved that wall for reasons i can't even begin to imagine but it somehow made me feel safe. these are gorgeous pictures and i am grateful for your having triggered that magic memory for me!! have a lovely day. steven
Lovely shadows on that weathered old wall. Interesting links too. Both organisations are doing great work. The rabbit in my banner photo was on the beach near where we were staying-I have not seen a wild white rabbit before and saw a couple while we were there. This one sat still long enough to have his picture taken!
That wall looks beautiful and inviting. Let's hope it's still sunny by the time we arrive in Scotland! And thank you for dropping by my blog with your good wishes.
Thanks for you visit, nice to find another like-minded blooger. Love the pretty shaddow pics...and your comment thingee-me-jig...'birds singing' very cool!
Beautiful, magical shadows.
ReplyDeleteOooooo...lovely lovely. Autumn is near...
ReplyDeleteFerns make most excellent shadows, their shadow is often more beautiful than the real thing!
