There's something very incongruous about a heron flying over rooftops - good one Juliet - I like this
Scot - nice way of looking at it, thanks!Janice - incongruous was just what i thought too!
Every night, the skies are filled with herons and egrets and storks headed back to the rookeries.Love the vision you gave me.
Brian - you're lucky to see so many of them! There are plenty of herons in Edinburgh, but not normally flying over the nearby roofs!
A perfect study in contrasts! Thoughtful ku!
Must be on its way to someone's pond to gobble all their fish or the frogs, toads and newts :)We have one like that who comes to our ponds for his share of the goodies.
i can relate - i see them occasionally just like you described :)
One flies over our "Cuckoo's Nest of Bunnies" now and again as well ...
flyers rule!!
Lovely contrast of natural and man-made elements. You capture them like a snapshot in words.I wish you well.~ Jeques
A perfect photo!children's day out
What a sight that would be! I love herons.
I like the contrast between the city and nature! Good one!
very nice...was trying to see if this was in a way figurative..
Beautiful imagery in this one ... I can see the heron in his lonely flight!
Snapshot perfection!
I always feel lucky when I see a heron. They are such majestic birds.
materialism v/s romanticism-appeal filed!
