enchanting winter scenes!
I haven't heard an owl in a long time - thanks for the memory jog
Great visual imagery!
I love these tiny poems. They are harder to do, don't you think? The second one has a slight mystic touch, I like that.Sandy
Both are visual - lovely. I'm particularly fond of the second - owls are magically connected to moons.
Beautiful to imagine the dark shadow of an owl over a bright moon against a dark sky.
yellow and white, blue and black, a beautiful combination, just like these haiku and how the opposites merge into a piece of beauty...thank you.
I love the contrast between the colors of the moon and sky...it makes it so easy to "see" your haiku.
These are both lovely. I very much like the second one also because of the owl which is a bird I greatly admire.
I love the second too but both are lovely
You gave me the shivers! The moon certainly has its shades of personality--and brings out ours! God bless.
polona, ackworth, nancy, tumblewords, annie, ul, sandy, mandy - thanksgardenpath - sometimes i find the shorter ku easiersandy carlson - the moon certainly does have personality and yes i think she does affect us too
Both are lovely, but the first really speaks to me of winter mornings around here. Thank you.
Very vivid haiku. Owl and moon are perfect companions.
I love your tiny haikus too..I am finding it hard not to get so wordy..so taking a leaf out of yur book...I think they have more impact when they are shorter!
I love the simplicity of your haiku - so evocative.
gorgeous winter beauty! the owl call & moonlight...what a wonderful night experience
Every time you haiku I am enchanted!
Nice approach - to consider the differing colourings of the moon.
These two work wonderfully well as a pair.
Oh the second one gave me chills, lovely, Juliet.
The second one is remarkable!
These are so beautifully pared down and concise ~ what symmetry! ~ sent a little shiver down my spine.
hmm...the words you have chosen cause me to pause, close my eyes and see..beautiful
Sounds like ancient country wisdom. nice.
These are lovely. I'm interested that Haiku syllable counts can vary. I wonder what the limitations are.
Hi, thanks for leaving a comment! I try to visit everyone back!
