The front page of the Edinburgh Evening News today features a photo of an albino squirrel and there's a full story inside! You can read the full article online - this blog is mentioned in paragraph 8.
They seem to pop up more and more these animals. They are suppose to be more vunerable but they seem to do ok.Did you see the post I did about the Wildlife rescue center, they had pure white pigeons visiting their sanctuary and have been doing so for years.
I saw this lovely article when it was published - my search engine picked it up - and I was delighted to see him! There is much made of white squirrels (and also of albino squirrels) here in the States as well. I'm especially glad the white squirrel is prized somewhat in Scotland, knowing of course how troublesome the greys have been (sadly) in the UK. These white squirrels (and another variant, the black squirrel) actually *ARE* greys, you know!
Congrats, by the way, on your mention in the press!!
Thanks for your link. Cute squirrel! Too bad its white coat makes it vulnerable.
