Though not explicitly stated, you can feel the dove (and the thin telephone wire beneath it) quivering with the sound and reverberations from the thunder.HKatzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17653570160517335758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-50396078383108412592010-11-12T01:02:02.224+00:002010-11-12T01:02:02.224+00:00Excellent haiku - so much in so little!Excellent haiku - so much in so little!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-87284500936357400582010-11-12T00:23:19.571+00:002010-11-12T00:23:19.571+00:00I love seeing any kind of bird, or birds on teleph...I love seeing any kind of bird, or birds on telephone wires.

all my best,

Alan, With Words
2010 With Words Haiku Competition: weblink

.Area 17https://www.blogger.com/profile/07472190637554124160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-48025630932355886542010-11-11T21:26:50.725+00:002010-11-11T21:26:50.725+00:00I have watched doves in the weather, they seem ver...I have watched doves in the weather, they seem very sensitive to conditions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-46830935613531007152010-11-11T16:36:18.347+00:002010-11-11T16:36:18.347+00:00This looked so simple at first.

First I think of the rumbling on the train tracks one feels before the train is visible.
The thunder from a phone line, distant perhaps as we use landlines less and less and internet/cell phone more.
The dove, of course, the opposite of war, waiting for the thunder to approach....
it takes time and review to read poetry...(sigh)
DiDiannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18323454057921441274noreply@blogger.com
