The higher, more jagged mountains near Vancouver, where I live now, while awe-inspiring and beautiful, are not so friendly. I miss my old gentle mountains with their patches of autumn yellow maples and tufts of low cloud caught along their ridges.... Personally, I love seeing them from afar, just knowing they are there to me is a sign that the world isn't totally destroyed by humans taking over. There are still patches of earth unscathed by our tools and weapons. At least this is what I like to think. I feel a part of nature when I am in them. I feel grateful to be allowed to share their space and I tell them as I walk through the trees that I appreciate them and am honored to be amongst the wild, the free, the natural.<BR/>Thanks for the comment on my blog. I will definately look into your work as I'm sure it will inspire me to take a larger part in the artistic community as I just turned 40 and have made a vow to honor my artist within through as many avenues as possible.
