I would have thought and hoped that England and Scotland would be more advanced! But human nature -- the need to expand, speed up as you say -- is the same sadly everywhere I guess.Sallie (FullTime-Life)http://www.travelingrainvilles.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-35062069420222311032011-05-09T18:51:57.663+01:002011-05-09T18:51:57.663+01:00Hi Juliet. We are slap bang in the middle of it here in the Chilterns and I shudder to think of the damage to this beautiful county. All in the name of so called progress. I hope it is one of those things which eventually falls by the way side. We have less woodland in this country than almost anywhere else in Europe and I think we should campaign to keep what we have got intact.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07095469968246647873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-36522485197083333442011-05-09T18:27:39.721+01:002011-05-09T18:27:39.721+01:00Would love to see the woods saved & protected!...Would love to see the woods saved & protected!

The photo of the hornbeam is heavenly.nonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13025913472730278205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-3634801718613730712011-05-09T17:47:34.232+01:002011-05-09T17:47:34.232+01:00sigh..it makes me sad to think of ancient woods be...sigh..it makes me sad to think of ancient woods being threatened.Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14819844673551315071noreply@blogger.com
