In the past, the kids and I would have eclipse parties and lie on the front lawn on sleeping bags to watch, beginning in their kindergarten years. Their dad would take a quick peek now and then and bring us hot chocolate if it was cold outside.

We'd had several incredibly clear nights in succession. We were hoping for another family eclipse party, but it didn't happen. Cloudy on the one night that it mattered to us. I even hoped there might be a faint red glow through the clouds. Nope. Oh, well.bunnitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07762412508859521913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-59159647999649337822010-12-23T04:06:52.893+00:002010-12-23T04:06:52.893+00:00The clouds came and went through the whole thing h...The clouds came and went through the whole thing here. I've just escaped the rig and was at my sister's in Ayr where there was a convenient, if jolly cold, patio pointing in an eclipse direction - even managed to grab a snap of sorts.

Photographers
rise early for the eclipse --
in the trees, birds sleep.Sandy's witteringshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05009803939431014995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-35371157896279538202010-12-21T22:51:05.997+00:002010-12-21T22:51:05.997+00:00Let me know if you still have no success seeing to...Let me know if you still have no success seeing today's lunar photos and I'll sort out another link for you.Rosie Nixon Fluertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10851979959739600135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16542790.post-87642593414978532692010-12-21T21:50:12.763+00:002010-12-21T21:50:12.763+00:00I have seen several, but not the one last night. When we left the movie the eclipse was already a good way through, but we did catch a glimpse of the partially eclipsed moon through the clouds. Not very red-looking, though.
It's the first eclipse I've ever seen, they always seem to happen behind clouds!Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08236329216260906624noreply@blogger.com
