Autumn leaves brighten up a dull day

It's a dull day today, but the autumn colours are wonderful in Colinton Dell, along the Water of Leith.

Yes even on dull days the leaves are stunning....we are getting the remnants of a tropical storm and the wind and rain are ripping the leaves from the trees.

Pretty Autumn trees and leaves, it is raining here today and the colors do seem bright. Have a happy day!

Someone over our way with a photog blog called them the 50 shades of Yellow! We do not get much reds.

I especially like the last photo, the brightness of the yellow and orange mix of leaves. And the path and bridge look so inviting to walk on.

We don't get the fall colors down here (except for the camellias) like I enjoyed when up north.

I find autumn colors are sometimes at their most beautiful on an otherwise dull day. A little rain always helps, too.

Enjoyed your Fall walks (scrolling down from the top) and wish I could find similar birding groups ( with such a good leader) where I live! (Heck, as long as I'm wishing, I wish I could fly myself over and join your group! 😀
